I am a Moynihan Postdoctoral Fellow at CUNY City College of New York. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from Duke University in 2023. My work examines the politics of nostalgia, memory, local identity, and the urban/rural divide in the history of political thought.

My first book examines the concept of the golden age — the idealized utopia of the past. My other research explores the urban/rural divide in ancient political thought, 18th century French liberalism, and environmentalism in the Anthropocene. My work has been published or is forthcoming in the American Political Science Review, History of Political Thought, Theory & Event, and Political Behavior.
